Hardware
This lab contains 21 Apple PowerMac 7600/120 computers
and 2 Apple PowerMac 7600/132 computers.
All the computers are connected to the campus network.
Each is configured with:
- 48 Mbytes RAM
- 1 Gbyte hard disk
- 1.44Mbyte floppy drive
- ZIP drive
- CD-ROM drive
- 10BaseT Ethernet interface
- 3-button mouse
- 17 inch color monitor (resolution up to 1280x1024)
Laser printing
is available for those with unix accounts.
One of the computers is connected to a ceiling-mounted data projector which is
capable of a display resolution of 640x480.
Software
Every computer in the lab has the following software installed:
- MacOS 8.1
- CodeWarrior Pro 6 (C/C++/JAVA/PowerPlant)
- Scheme
- Visual Smalltalk
- MacAnalyst and MacDesigner and MacTranslator (CASE tools)
- MacX 1.5 (X-windows server)
- Netscape Communicator 4.6
- Internet Explorer 4.5
- Additional network applications (telnet, ftp)
Hours
Monday throughThursday 8:00 am - 11:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
When a
class is scheduled
this lab is not available for general use.
