12/06/01: If the CS class you are trying to register for is full you should

<LI> Send email to the instructor indicating that you intend to show up at
first meeting of the class and that you wish to add it, and
<LI> Go to the first meeting of the class

There are no priority "wait lists". Instructors will deal with students who
wish to add the class after the first meeting. Until then we do not know
the extent of the demand.

11/18/01: The Computer Science Department has proposed changes to its curriculum. The changes can be viewed
<A HREF="proposed_curriculum/proposed_curriculum.html">here</A>.
<P>
9/5/2001: Another change in the substitution for CS 180. Students completing the
CS major under the current catalog will have to substitute one 3-unit upper-
division CS elective for CS 180. The fourth unit will be waived.
No special paperwork or petition is required for this waiver. Simply
include the substituted elective on your graduation forms instead of CS 180.
